The insurrection should keep him out of office.

Nope. It's over now! Go back to brunch everyone! Trump has been defeated. /s

Nobody who cares about the election actually thinks this do they?

Like the polls that say 75% of voters won’t change their vote based on his conviction, how many of them say they won’t because they’re already never going to vote for trump? I certainly am not going to change my vote against the convicted criminal Donald Trump.

Yeah, but it'll highlight how many republicans are willing to elect a known grifter, rapist and newly minted felon to the highest office in the land.

American politics is a big damn joke, the only place in the world where someone who is openly a criminal is shaping up to be the next president, it says a lot about a criminal and rotten society.

It says a lot about a shitty electoral system. It says a little about a rotten society, but only a lot about 47% of voters in an election that can ignore the National popular vote.

Please reserve judgment for the red states who elected that criminal.

I looked it up and he can even run for office from jail. It’s been done before by Eugene Debs.

I saw an opinion that they could possibly suspend his sentence until after his term if he won, but he would likely try to pardon himself at that point. It’s uncharted waters at this point.

I think there are certain crimes that should bar you from the presidency or any office for that matter. If you do election related crimes to get elected that should disqualify you.

We still have to vote him out folks. Go vote (again) to flush this shit down the drain for good.

But, since he's a Florida resident, he won't be able to vote IIRC.
