I just read that quote and felt like sharing it with you. Some AC/DC appreciation.

Heh. I didn't know this was a common criticism of AC/DC.

It's definitely not unfounded but, the alternative is not always better. A good counter example is a band like Kings of Leon, who kind of split their fans along different album lines. Not saying there's anything wrong with that either, but I love AC/DC and am not upset that they have a pretty consistent identity across their albums.

A lot of bands have 'eras', different stages of albums and some enjoy ones, some others (Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, etc...)

Either way, somebody won't be happy.

It's best if they (bands) just do what they want and enjoy :)

So many bands change sounds between albums that I'm typically not a fan of a 'band' at all, only ever specific albums. Consistency would be nice in my book.

And that sound is rock.

It's great that they have a sense of humor about it.

But... Yeah.

Why does it need to sound different? If it rocks it fkn rocks. it’s TNT and it’s dynamite.

I remember when Malcolm passed and Brian was talking about him as the architect of their sound. He said he wasn't always big on talking but once in awhile after a song Brian would look over at him and he'd have a grin on that said "Yeah. That's it."

Yeah. That's it.
