Yeah, but what if I misread it? Or i forgot how much time these noodles cook for cause the noodles I cooked yesterday took 9-10 minutes.

Occasionally I get in the habit of putting it on the counter next to me.
Then after a few times of doing that successfully my brain says to throw it away because surely I will remember how long this time and it is back to trash can diving.

Why not just delay throwing the box away until you're finished cooking?
