Can he fix his own cringe idiocy while he's at it?

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 2 points 3 hours ago

They were going to do that anyway. And something like this was pretty much inevitable with the way Trump's been running things. It's all part of the plan.

As far as I've been able to figure out, the kid was neither right nor left, just fucked in the head.

Sometimes, taking to yourself is the only way to get an intelligent conversation.

Trolling Trump would be pretty funny. It'll never happen though.

Oh I definitely think he's been a net positive, and significantly better than the alternative. I just don't think he'll have the guts to call out Trump's bullshit to his face.

The social media laws are appalling, though. You'd expect that nonsense from the likes of Dutton, but I guess all governments are pro-surveillance state when you get down to it.

Indoctrination!

I love how unelectable she's making herself.

I'm sure Albanese will be as milquetoast and ineffective as he usually is. I can't imagine him standing up to Trump and reinforcing the independence of the ABC.

Still 100% speculation.

I had this on VHS back in the day. My favourite DB concert film supporting my favourite DB album, 'Uh-Oh'. I've listened to that album probably over a thousand times and I'm still not tired of it. No exaggeration.

A bit of classic Byrne since he's been putting out some new stuff recently that hasn't really grabbed me as much. The bass on this is great.

I'd like to introduce you all to TISM (This Is Serious, Mum), one of the greatest satirical Aussie bands of the nineties. This is just a taste of their schtick.

There's always at least a couple of them within arm's reach from my couch.

Full livestream of some of the tightest funk you'll ever hear, with a cheeky sense of humour. This show is relentlessly good. Only two cameras, but the sound mix is great. I've watched this multiple times, and am watching it again on posting this.

I'm not sure how the community feels about posting full live shows here, but this is a good'n. Pick any point on the video and you'll probably be entertained. I was actually at this show, and I reckon I was the oldest person there.

Great track from a great album from this band from Toronto Canada. Edit: I got the wrong city.

Lovely little ditty from a local band. The Valley is in reference to Fortitude Valley, a popular nightspot, which, in classic Brisbane naming tradition, is at the top of a hill. See also : the George Bridges Tunnel.

There's no such thing as a typical DSO song. Every track is it's own thing, and they'll even switch styles mid-song. Amazing band. I encourage you to listen to their entire discograhpy. It's quite a ride.
