Ho ho ho, is that the sound of bells I hear?

Staff Christmas party tonight - I've got to put together a BBQ for 25 today (lamb, roast chickens, kumara rosti + the usual salads and sides), including desserts , drinks, gift bags for all, entertainment (set up my PA for music plus guitar/vocals). Going to be a busy day!

Once is an accident, twice indicates something systemic! Gotta be something going on here.... Changing currents maybe?

Back home after a 10h drive from Dunedin. On the plus side, we discovered that our car can drive itself (to a point) which made the cruise up the Canterbury side a lot easier!

Kids were on go-slow this morning - just about missed the bus. It's like herding kittens some days...

The *arr suite all have web front ends - so you open the page from your phone or laptop etc, add the show you want and off they go with the download, rename, cataloging etc. It it is generally quite elegant in the way it works.

You know, it's hard to beat that feeling you get when you nail a reverse park first time.

I like the comparisons with synthesizers, digital cameras, Photoshop etc. Not an aspect I'd considered before, so it will be interesting if we do in fact see a "creativity boom" as a result of these new techs...

Personally, I've found the text based LLMs to be invaluable in parts of my professional life - for example, churning out boilerplate type text for procedural documents. It's a tool to be used when appropriate, but currently it's new and shiny...

Uh oh. Headache, fever, stratchy throat and body aches, three days after a couple of flights... That's not a combo I'm liking...
