Cella impresses me the more I use it. It doesn't need much soap, water, or time to make a very slick and cushioned lather. My first go with Alive, I need to use it more to formulate some thoughts.

I had a completely different shave planned out for today, but seeing @Ash use dirtyver pushed me in that direction.
I usually go for complementary scents, but in the spirit of today, I'll explain the logic: verbena is a light, green, and earthy scent, which leads directly into the cool mint balm, and together they help set the stage. Dirtyver then comes in, and takes us from a meadow straight into the forest, with a fresh and piney note to the vetiver. Felce Aromatica is a fern scent, and ferns grow in forests. I planned to use Dsquared's Rocky mountain Wood, but I only have 100ml left of it and the second hand prices are insane. Felce Aromatica is very good tho.
This was a very nice shave, and again I'm surprised Apogee isn't more popular.
Shave so nice, I've done it twice
Software firsts for today's shave in Cella and Queen, and a Gillette 7 O'Clock Sharpedge (yellow). Cella is super easy to lather, and has a very good lather all in all. Leaves the face very neutral too, maybe just a bit on the drier side, but not too much. It also smells amazing albeit very low scent strength. Marzipan or sour cherries, depending on how you're wired. NO aftershave also feels really nice and Queen smells pretty much like how I imagined it. Works really well with Cella, although I have to see what else in my den fits it.
The blade was also a new experience. Very smooth, other than it having glue dots this is the best blade I've tried. Does anyone know if they're still made in Russia? I have a 5blade tuck from 2023 that's from there, and I'm honestly thinking about just getting a lifetime supply
SV is really really good
first time I used it and the lather is easily on par with most other soaps I have. A bit drying on the skin, but once I rinsed off properly and applied the balm it was fine. Moarteen for the theme, Dirtyver because it's a green scent, lemon lime balm because the packaging is green
Koraat ++
And I need to somehow get a lifetime supply of Dirtyver
- Brush: Semogue 820
- Razor: GreenCult 2.0 III
- Blade: Bic Astor Stainless
- Lather: D. R. Harris - Arlington shave soap
- Post Shave: Denim Original splash, Dr. K. Lemon & Lime aftershave balm
- Fragrance: Hermes - H24 EdP
Denim and H24 really work well together. Quick shave and off to my aunt's for a belated Easter lunch
Razor gud, lather not as good as I wanted but perfectly serviceable. Wanted to stay on @BossHoggins10@sub.wetshaving.social's suggested theme today so I went with green soap (Dr. K's Peppermint shave soap), green razor (MOARteen), and green splash (Proraso green).
What I can say about the razor: it's sharp enough to shave comfortably, the tang is plenty grippy even without jimping due to the rough finish, which was honestly an apprehension of mine, and even though the blade is a relatively large format at 15/16, the grind makes it lighter than I expected while being very stiff feeling.
Extremely smooth shave today
