The phrase you are after is "Duvet cover." A blanket is technically just a single layer of fabric, a quilt is several layers and a Duvet is 2 layers with stuffing. Calling any/all of them "blankets" is normal... until you have to put the cover on.

From what I understand of the green house effect is that higher temperatures lead to more cloud cover and thus less direct UV. If that's correct its quite possible that Africa will become lighter skinned as the need to absorb UV through clouds increases.

The fixation on media and over estimating its importance is a symptom of the illness not the cause. I've known people who were seeing the secrets of the universe communicated through road signs and house numbers. How engaging the media is is irrelevant. Most of the time its stress, sleep deprivation, and/or drugs that make this sort of thing happen. (like the guy in the article who just got a new more stressful job)
