I wonder are there solutions with "soft drops of levels".

So, instead of blocking everything or allowing everything, you could gradually let more volume in specific noises.

With food? I don't feel empty after eating enough.

Theres one another, specific need where I can feel empty and full at the same time though...

I can barely deal with anything more complicated after dividing and percent, I think. (I last studied math at trade school like 15 years ago, in Europe)

Do not be afraid to ask help if you're in a tight spot. Family, friends, professionals or other people that could help you out.

Use different outlets to discharge bad feelings. Write, paint, chop wood, scream in the forest. Watch soothing popculture material that helps you to deal with the same topics.

Then again - it would probably be asked too much from parents to keep an eye on their kids all the time, every second. Even when they are not around their kid (like, during school).

(Responsible) Services should be viewed, and controlled from more than only one point of view/party. (Just like everything else as well)

I ask for information sometimes that I cannot find in few minutes of googling (I use a lot of this information in writing fiction). I generate images once in a while for role playing and storywriting. (Not sure if it is AI but) I turn some text over to speech, to listen at my stories.

Gotta say that I have heard much less bad about atheism than about religions.

I wonder how widely is atheism used to oppress, control, brainwash, kill or torture people.

Commercials over the basic channels on the basic TV is its own curse but It's difficult for me to understand why would someone want to watch YouTube through their smart television since the service pumps lots of adds in those videos as well - after years of me watching everything at home via my computer screens that are guarded by the amazing solution of AdBlock โ™ฅ๏ธ

I'm still on win10. Planning on hopping over this one Linux-based operating system for gaming specifically (can't remember its name) once the updates for Win10 run dry. I've heard so much bad stuff about 11 that I'm going to try again with Linux (years ago I jumped in Ubuntu since a friend recommended it but I needed to jump back because games didn't work well).

Hm!

And what about a chastity belt?

How does it appear in your life?

A fun way to have quizzes about whatever topic(s) (for school, hobby etc), where people see the question, answers and need to choose the correct answer as fast as they can to beat the others in the point race (when default settings are enabled).

You can also create your own quizzes (registration required for that).

Imagine having a deck of cards that contain one or more topics of things you find interesting to study, or for school and work materials.

Some features

  • Create, edit, import and study cards. Look at the front, think of the answer (at the back), flip it over and analyze how well you did with knowing the answer
  • Different types of cards. Flip over to see the answer, hide things within images, arrange data within a card in a correct order (addon), type in text within a card and many more! You can even create your own card types!
  • Handle tags to organize cards, and to do filtered studying
  • Spaced repetition. The cards you study come always back. But when does it come back? Well - that depends on how well you memorize it. Some take a minute before reappearing while some take 7+ years
  • Addons. Install different tools that makes Anki easier, more useful, or feel like a game (if it doesn't already feel like one)
  • Sync decks for many different devices
  • Look at your studying data through statistics

Hey you!

I just created a community.
And started to wonder whether it's cool/interesting enough. Or whether it even follows the rules to exist in the first place, heh...

There's one old post about the matter already: https://lemmy.world/post/285637?sort=New
It discusses generating enough content in a new community to give some ground for discussion, and moderating it.

But I thought that as time has passed...maybe we'd have some new/more insight or ideas/thoughts about different tips, tricks or guidelines towards creating a quality community? A 2025 version of that old post, if you will.

Story? Gained loot? Becoming a god?

It can be whatever!

Things that could be good material for some gamification.

Being too boring, or a grind to accomplish, or generating (too much) anxiety etc

Mine may well be to go to bed before a set hour hits the clock ๐Ÿ˜…

I'm probably having a two-month-row of failing that one simple task.
Even now it's 5:00 and I should have gotten in bed two hours ago to fulfill that task as completed (for this day)

I found out a few servers related in Discord:

Test whatever (real) video game type!
Level up with experience, gain loot and use stuff! Gather resources and build something from them! Do a Tetris! Make a racing map and gain on others as you progress through your to-do -list! Run a little farther away from that closet monster when you complete a task! Grow from the tiniest particle to the biggest thing via going forward in real life! Gain money to buy a trade product, travel and sell it for a better price somewhere else!

Test whatever mechanics you enjoy in yer games!
Throw the die to see what happens! Just finished a bigger task? Roll twice or get a better chance for a better thing happening in your gamification system! Come up with more features as your pile of done tasks grow (if you find it appealing)! Is it easier to find accountability through a group of other people, or is it easier to fulfill tasks when it could be turned into a competition against other "players"?

Come up with useful and fun rewards!
Enjoy a snack! Get or upgrade a tool or equipment! Get to see a picture, or a quote, or a sound as you progress through your responsibilities!

I once heard from a person that they created a Tetris system for themselves.

They would have created a task and connected it to a specific piece. Then, always when they did it, they'd color it inside the Tetris gameboard/panel.

  • You can basically use whatever shapes and colors, and different rotations
  • You can come up with different-looking levels (not just rectangles - what about a circle or a hexagon?)
  • Maybe a nice reward when one row is filled? Or when the whole field is filled?
