I’ve not been banned myself, I’m just curious.

Is it akin to getting banned from every community on the instance, but the users profile is still visible from accounts on that instance?

Or is it akin to the user getting entirely “defederated” from the instance they were banned from?

My experience is a little better with comments sorted by “top” instead of “active”. “active” seems to promote controversial comments because they get the most replies.

They are literally bedridden and poor, they obviously don’t want to risk doing anything illegal because them getting arrested is literally a death sentence, and police are well known not to give a shit about chronic illness/disability.

perhaps someone will ship it over

Sorry for asking if this was explained somewhere else I searched as best I could and didn’t find anything.

This guy here is like heavily disabled on 8k per year disability benefits and are bedridden (can’t leave their bed), they wouldn’t be able to sue.

Sadly the person who posted this is a sorta-famous ME/CFS patient who is completely bedridden. So they can’t even leave their room.

Yep, though the alternatives are not quite there yet software wise, but MBin and Piefed aren’t that far behind..

To be honest except on things like sports and politics, reddit kind of feels like a ghosttown too. So many posts with huge amounts of upvotes and like 2 bot generated comments. The power commenter types seem to have left after the exodus and been replaced by lots of people who scroll and like but don’t really venture much into comments.

Main reason is people are too lazy to change their ways and don’t want to feel like they’ve been making the wrong choice all along.

Alledgedly?

Marxist Leninst is a nice way to put it, they support Putin, Xi. Zhedong and Stalin.

Thankfully as you say, it’s FOSS with free federation and defederation. Admins only have control over lemmy.ml.

Hugs to everyone who can’t do this because they don’t have a local community, are too disabled to interact with their local community, or are too busy fighting for their survival.

I see you.

Donald J. Trump won votes from Arab Americans and conservative pro-Israel Jews. Someone is likely to be disappointed
