Instagrams format doesn’t really lend itself to societal breakdown. Twitter and Facebook Groups absolutely do and have a lot to answer for.

Fediverse is the next gen and improved to cause less of that. People are excited about the normies making the next step.

Life long nerd and CS grad. Mastodon ain’t it.

The British spooks who gathered around Project Alchemy reasoned that the longer the proxy war continued, the more Russian president Vladimir Putin’s “credibility at home and abroad drops, and his ability to fight NATO is degraded.”

Well, yeah. Don’t we all know that is the MO anyway? And not like it’s against Ukraine’s interests. Zelensky could surrender today if he wanted.

Bsky is more twitter like and less confusing than mastodon.

Bsky is federated too.

Just bridge them all together. Threads and nostr too. Then everyone can use what they want.

edit: seems this already exists. https://techcrunch.com/2024/07/09/openvibe-combines-mastodon-bluesky-and-nostr-into-one-social-app/

Republicans. Of course the dems will win. Republicans haven't won the popular vote in 20 years. Kids aren't getting more conservative as they age anymore, their base is dying off and they accelerated it with covid denialism.

They're cooked.

They’re going to be in for a surprise when they realise they’ll never win another election in their current form.

He did last time too.

And people still deny it to this day.

That’s the far right and centre right. There is no left major political party.

But yes electing more progressive government shifts the Overton window and gets us closer to leftism.
