Makes sense I guess. Thanks for elaborating.

Thank you. I am only a hobby dev but I‘m also considering contributing to the projects I use for my home lab. It’s quite intimidating as I‘m not proficient in any language but I‘ll give it a go at some point.
The reason the stick is so long is so you can’t actually get to the carrot. You just need to think you can.
Good reason for a dev to start contributing to godot. Be the change you want to see. In open source it is even actually possible.
Thats what I did already. I might just leave it at that then. Thanks for the suggestion though. :)
Are there any tech co-ops or 100% employee owned companies? Could be a system forward.
We all have these people in our jobs, don’t we? I‘m practicing to engage them with a therapist rn. Have been through abuse when I was young and they love to dump on me. My new goal is to pin a notice on my wall that I get for telling the next bully where to stick it (in public). Lets see how that goes.
I really enjoyed reading this. Do you have a blog or something? Have a good one.
As a mod on reddit (who only reacts to pings these days) I would like to post an undramatic message „here‘s what happened, if you‘re interested to join our lemmy mirror, here‘s the link.“
Anyone got something I could use which will not set off reddit stans or get me replaced and the message deleted?
I‘m just getting really triggered when anyone tries to convert people to the apple ecosystem.
They‘re the worst. Microsoft is half as bad.
I‘m sitting at home with a 500€ ipad which still works wonderfully but apple killed support and made installing something else impossible. Even jailbreaking doesn’t really work well. The device can literally not even open a website anymore because apple needs to sell.
Fuck apple.
I actually know a lot of autistic people what were diagnosed at 50+. So don't worry. It is possible.
I can't say what it will mean for you but I can tell you what it meant for me in hindsight: I am still reframing my life before the diagnosis. So I go through all incidents again and view them with the diagnosis in mind. That changed my picture about myself maybe not 180 degrees but definitely 90 :) It also led to me coming up with healthier strategies to cope and to go through life. I have better friends now, sleep better and have a better outlook on life.
I can relate: The routines and comping strategies were how I got here. I had some that were good but a lot were less than stellar. Since I know, I have revised them to make sure I don't hurt myself every day of the week. I don't burn out as easily since I know what actually happens.
I hope this helps you. Wish you all the luck. :)
