Just curious because Distrowatch can be easily gamed; does anyone know how this might affect the linux consumer market? I'm using Mint and see no reason to switch to this. I used to nerd out about different distros but aside from the enterprise distros or Debian or Arch preferences I don't see why people are using smaller distros anymore. Hobbyist i guess?
15 years ago I thought the Germans were the smartest people in the world because they understood the importance of investing in public services and had a central european style of capitalism that focused on fundamentals over financialization. since then they've slowly been adopting more neoliberal policies and making really stupid foreign policy decisions. I've lost a lot of respect for them as a world leader.

How do you see Lemmy working with duplicate communities on different instances? For example if Lemmy.World and Lemmy.ml have a PersonalFinance community, are people expected to cross-post? Or have you conceived of a system to allow people to find the right community efficiently?
I think you need to go for a walk in nature friend.
I really find all these posts entertaining, there are a bunch of reddit refugees that are trying to impose their ideology on Lemmy. It's almost like they're trying to ironically colonize the space.
The USA is not a true democracy in the academic sense of the word.
