Another place to look is at Lenovo laptops, I've had no problems installing Linux on them, and catch the right sale and you can get some really nice deals, though you have to be careful as they have a ridiculous number of variations on each model, some existing only for a single special deal.

Wasn't sure if'n it was official, but knew they were doing that, at least where they can.

That quote really blew my mind, you gotta be real sure that you're going to get re-elected to say something like that. That or be ready to retire, which makes me wonder what they're getting out of the deal.

Oh, I did forget one thing Kbin does better, inline images. IMGBB, the place I keep my pics, offers copy & paste code for adding images to your blog, and the HTML works right off the bat, unlike Lemmy which requires the use of meta text

You might have to define active, I never posted often there, and while I do scroll through it daily, I don't find much that grabs my attention, I'm literally only visiting out of habit, same for Twitter as it happens, but at some point I'll likely drop it.

I use both and while I prefer Kbin's interface slightly, I will say that my experience with Lemmy is definitely better, the Kbin instance I'm on often has 500 errors on various parts of the site, along with lots of duplicate posts. Overall, I think it's a toss up, neither one is particularly better than the other, though Lemmy is bigger.

For me, I just like the interface better, but there isn't a whole lot of difference really

Try that link, if'n it works, I'll switch the links. With how many adblockers and such I have on Firefox, I don't see autoplays or ads, and can force pop ups and other things to go away.

Tucson, AZ - Asserting their power as workers, the educators at BASIS Tucson North won three major victories even before finishing bargaining a first contract. First, paid time off days will increase from five to ten. Second, some educators will receive pay at the rate of $40 per hour for being assigned extra subbing duties. Third, the punitive “attendance bonus” system, which compensated teachers for not using their days of paid time off and which unfairly punished educators with disabilities and illnesses, will come to an end. These changes will take effect starting in August of the 2023-2024 school year.

I wanna know that too

Indeed, but I've watched a half dozen reviews at least, and none have mentioned it, though Ups & Downs was the most thorough. Heck, La'an's timing's been mentioned in at least one or two of those, but the translation? Nope, zip. Yeah, I think people will be catching stuff for weeks if not months afterwards.

Surprised none of these reviews have mentioned the translation, that got a chuckle out of me.
