Cen we not? We could always try other more sane methods that are available

This is the problem, people have been quietly talking about this issue and trying to convince people for decades. Barely anything has happened. Protest is supposed to be inconvenient. Not sure whether this type to protest works, but the quiet, passive way certainly doesn't.

It's true, I think realities of the situation will be very slowly sinking in for people in the next few years

Yep! Reminds me of this stat from the met office:

An updated analysis of the annual UK temperature records from the Met Office shows that since 1884 all of the UK’s ten warmest years have occurred since 2002; whereas none of the ten coldest years have occurred since 1963.

It is maddening, we seem to be stuck watching this happen in slow (well faster now) motion. I think a lot of people don't know exactly what to do, and while we try and make personal changes really we need government to regulate, cut subsidises etc.

I'd quite like a year without hearing it!

Same, this is what I think of as well. So a cute and nostalgic connotations for me (even if they didn't have a great sense of self preservation).

We are beating all sorts of records, my concern is that the chnage seems to be speeding up.

We had a whole stretch a few weeks back where it basically didn't rain for 3 weeks.

Honestly I find that making physical hand written notes better cements the ideas in my head. It may be because I'm older so I started with only pen and paper which means that's how I best think, but for me writing and typing are two different tools and I tend to use both.

I'm on kbin and they are called magazines, but I think communities are a better catch all. Everyone knows what you mean by that

Well this has very much sold it to me!
