Between this bullshit and what seems like every Triple-Eh publisher suddenly developing massive diamond-hard boners for Denuvo (you're welcome), it's almost enough to make me want to go full Console Peasant. almost.

Mostly because it looks good for the suits and investors, and since it doesn't actually seem to hurt their sales that much (hint hint)

Just one more reason why the obsession with the latest greatest OMGWTF HIGH DEFINITION GRAPHICS is the worst thing to happen to gaming since the Atari Jaguar.

The point is punishing the people who pay money for this sh*t, apparently (and they will, because for everybody who refuses to buy something that comes with malware bundled in there will be at least two screaming "SHUT UP AND TAKE OUR MONEY!")

I can certainly vouch for it, I've clocked just over 420 hours ~~(blaze it)~~ playing off-and-on since 2019, and my only major complaints are:

1. The skill/ability tooltips focus way too much on story fluff and are too vague on what the bleeped thing actually does

2. The story campaign doesn't entirely play nice with multiplayer, only one player can talk to NPCs and advance/accept/turn in quests

Well on the bright side, I'm sure that THIS will be the one that gets developers/publishers to stop spamming the market with so many half-baked Live Service games, and while we're at it, get consumers to stop jumping on The Latest Greatest Live Service, right? laugh/sob
