Thanks for pointing that out! I was looking for an original source, but the articles Wikipedia uses as sources are from a defunct journaling site. However, you can see at least one of the original articles through the wayback machine.

Have you considered tiddlywiki? You can selfhost, or use one of a couple of services. I know of https://tiddlyhost.com/

Also you could consider anytype. It's cool, and I like what they're going for. I don't like their weird pretending to be open source license, but it's still pretty cool software. https://anytype.io

Edit: for my personal stuff, I use a combination of logseq, and tiddlywiki, the latter moreso for game development. I landed on anytype at work because it's simple, and my boss, nor anyone else cares about a license, and it just works.

Hey, our mountains can get quite unruly sometimes, what can we say?

Just so you know, everything in that link after ?si= is purely tracking information so Google can know who you send links to, and when they open them.

That's a good point. However, less is better than more, and some change is better than none.

Celebrate progress.

This is likely the most asinine thing I hear on a regular basis. Speed limits exist for a reason. If driving the speed limit actually created a hazard, rather than simply creating an annoyance for someone who is willing to drive recklessly to shave a few seconds off their trip, you might have a point, but you don't.

The only circumstance where it creates a hazard is if everyone else around them is speeding, in which case, the people who are speeding are creating the hazard, not the person following the laws, you know, the ones that are there to enforce safety on the roads.

You didn't need to insinuate anything intentionally.

If you choose to define someone's humanity as their ability to procreate... You're already, intentionally or otherwise, laying extremely dangerous groundwork.

The exact same kinds of reasoning people have always used to dehumanize others.

I don't have to assume anything about who you are in your heart to tell you that you are employing bad and dangerous logic. Maybe you're a saint, maybe every day you do 1000 times more good than I could do in a lifetime.

Doesn't matter.

It's still bad logic.

Am I missing something? This isn't even an article?

[-] T0RB1T@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 year ago

Whoa! What? Source? I've never heard of Abigail assaulting anyone.

[-] T0RB1T@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 year ago

It's an excellent choice.
