Thanks! It's not too long of a ride, just 34 miles, but it's going to be a lot of elevation over that distance. It's not as much as like a mountain bike course but more than a road course. Just aiming to finish and have fun!

130km is a lot longer than the 50km that i signed up for. The semi competitiveness of your ride sounds like fun, like it's multiple short races mixed in with some scenic in betweens.

First thought it sounded like a scam because people were talking about it the same way people talked about crypto. Looked into it enough after the reddit api shenanigans that I wanted to make a lemmy account and I'm still learning new things about it.

Wish we could make slice catch on. Not only for the reason you mentioned, but it also implies that what you are looking at is a part of a whole. So communities are a slice of lemmy.
