A friend of mine had Nitro silently activated on her account. No payment method attached, no transactions, just Nitro. They emailed support who replied with "Oh it's our new promotion! You get to try it for free, no need to pay or add your card. We'll ask for your money once it's done."
Which is absolute batshit evil drug dealer energy. I bet they rolled that promo out while the CFPB's corpse was still warm.

This part is actually a feature. You think desperate farmers are going to let crops rot in the field while their kids attend school? And that's just family farms! Just wait until the inner city high schools start getting tapped for factory farms!
Negative income tax solves the "rich people getting 12k/yr they don't 'need'" issue. Beaurocracy/overhead has already been mentioned as another reason.

I'm an American mechanical engineer that's been considering working and living in Sweden for a long time, with recent events pushing me to pursue it with more vigor. Do you know of any culture/law/history primers that may be accessible for an English speaker? Or similar subject but in Swedish with children's book-style vocab/grammar? Cultural integration for kindergartners would be excellent. I'd just like to not make a fool of myself!
