Emony Dax got handsy with Bones in the 2240s, and Audrid died in 2284.

In SNW's 2259ish setting, it should be one of those two.

I think that's a good thing - not just for the reasons Kurtzman highlighted, but because Starfleet being in a "rebuild" phase gives them a nice excuse to put cadets to work.

I also just enjoy the 32nd century setting, so I'm glad to stick with it a while longer.

My expectations for this one were low based on the preview, but I enjoyed this one more than I thought I might. A very "traditional" Star Trek plot in many ways.

Watching the Culber/Stamets interactions, I wonder if they're going to address the "awakening" that Stamets had following his genetic modification. That's something that's been mentioned a bunch of times (as recently as two episodes ago), but I don't remember them ever digging really deep into it. It seems like there are some parallels there that could be explored.

It was a pretty big red flag when they announced that every episode this season would be 1701 minutes long...

Probably "admin".

One thing I think they've done exceptionally well is give each project its own tone and premise - that goes a long way to help prevent that feeling of oversaturation.

And then not a single fucking word about Discovery. No news about the new season despite the writers strike preventing the cast from promoting the show. No shots. No celebration. No fucking nothing.

I'll give them a mild defense here - they did discuss Discovery, albeit briefly:

“We have finished it. It will be airing early next year. It’s an incredibly satisfying ending to a show that is so near and dear to my heart. Sonequa Martin-Green gave the performance of her life. I think you guys are going to love it.”

It's very likely that they planned this panel to be non-WGA in the event that the writers' strike hadn't ended by the time of the convention, which would explain why the only panelist of note, besides Kurtzman himself, was Mike McMahan.

Who...who would you expect to invite you to a Paramount event?

They appear to get hit with some Strange Energies in the trailer.

Always good to get the full television experience.
