From the trailer, I don't get the impression that they're trying to come back from it - rather, they're leaning in to it.

I thankfully haven't had to deal with MPI for a long time (and truthfully, my personal experiences have been pretty positive), but their website suggests they will have to pay the deductible up front, but should get reimbursed once the issue of who is at fault is sorted out.

Is MPI flat-out refusing to pursue this? If so, what exactly are they saying to justify it?

The answer might be to make themselves as irritating to the adjustors as possible...nothing to lose, really.

I guess the World of Tanks promotion did well?

Edit: okay, this is kind of great.

Clicked for the Klingon/Andorian hockey game, was not disappointed.

I think it's pretty great, yeah.

The story feels very much like an extended episode of Star Trek.

[-] ValueSubtracted@startrek.website 6 points 11 months ago

Well that's the thing - something can't really "disappear from existence," unless we're talking about something that did exist and was destroyed.

But if it never existed at all...well, there's literally nothing lost.

The exception to this would be if Kirk and his crew remembered the Cerritos existing before the time travel shenanigans.

[-] ValueSubtracted@startrek.website 6 points 11 months ago

Yeah, and those sorts of whimsical designs could even point to exactly where the Federation was before the Temporal Wars and Burn happened and put them into survival mode.

150 is a much higher number - we should buy those instead.

Hiding in plain sight, perhaps?

Alternatively, maybe he built the ship, but it's being used by someone else.

The Bussards are an emergency backup system for use when fuel replenishment via tanker is not possible, and are not normally active.
