From the trailer, I don't get the impression that they're trying to come back from it - rather, they're leaning in to it.

I thankfully haven't had to deal with MPI for a long time (and truthfully, my personal experiences have been pretty positive), but their website suggests they will have to pay the deductible up front, but should get reimbursed once the issue of who is at fault is sorted out.

Is MPI flat-out refusing to pursue this? If so, what exactly are they saying to justify it?

The answer might be to make themselves as irritating to the adjustors as possible...nothing to lose, really.

Does this URL work?

https://canvas.fediverse.events/#x=127&y=95&zoom=11&tu=https%3A%2F%2Fstartrek.website%2Fpictrs%2Fimage%2Fe241a7b6-7db3-42bd-aeb1-7cc1d4f40b11.png&tw=40&tx=85&ty=70&ts=ONE_TO_ONE

Edit: It seems to work - the delta should be visible in the upper-left quadrant of the canvas. You'll just have to open the Settings and turn down the template opacity to see the actual canvas underneath.

Edit 2: At this point, you can probably toggle the template off entirely.

Hi everyone,

We've now upgraded to v0.19.5 - this update includes the changes from v0.19.4, which we had not yet upgraded to. This is a relatively big one, and you can find details here:

v0.19.4

v0.19.5

Here are some of the user-facing highlights:

  • There is now a dropdown option to hide posts.

  • You can now view and delete all images you've previously uploaded.

  • Federation has been improved in a number of ways. It's now possible to federate with Wordpress, Discourse, and NodeBB. Federation with Mastodon has been improved, and we should now be federated with more servers on that platform. Most posts to our communities should automatically receive a hashtag matching the community's name (e.g., #startrek, #daystrominstitute, etc.). This is dependent on the poster's home instance, though, so only posts from servers which are running v0.19.4 or higher will receive the hashtags.

  • There's now a user setting to change how votes are displayed - you can see or hide upvotes, downvotes, score, upvote %, or none.

I'd also like to remind you that we have two alternative interfaces available:

Edit: We also have a wiki, which is open to users who feel inspired to develop resources for this community!

Finally, we remain eternally grateful to all users who are able to support startrek.website by contributing to our Patreon - your generosity helps to keep the lights on!

I literally yelled at the TV: "Why didn’t you just do that?! Or at least technobabble away why you ‘can’t just’ "

You know, the execution was a little clunky, but I really appreciated the idea that Starfleet would sit around chatting about the situation for the bit, while the Breen would just swing in with a YOLO maneuver.

Clicked for the Klingon/Andorian hockey game, was not disappointed.

That episode was certainly a marvel of set decoration.

Had they known this was going to be the final season, I wonder if they would have considered more guest stars. Seeing Hannah Cheesman as Airiam again was neat, but a Lorca and/or an Ash Tyler would have been pretty special.

I wonder if the sequence set in a possible future is the closest we're going to get to a "Calypso" tie-in...

The computer was telling her the the warp failure was imminent, the collapse of the field risked tearing the entire ship apart, and she had to get clear of it in order for Discovery to rescue her.

So...yes, I guess I can?

It's worth noting that CBS opened their own Toronto studio after Discovery debuted, so I'm not sure whether they'll keep using Pinewood. I'm pretty sure SNW films at the new facility.

I think it's pretty great, yeah.

The story feels very much like an extended episode of Star Trek.

It was still unknown whether it was Stafleet

In what way was it unknown? Sloan had the active support of Starfleet command, access to at least one starship, and full authority to do whatever he wanted. None of this is ambiguous, and is in fact directly stated.

It's interesting the the showrunners have been giving interviews about the episodes all season, then.

I don't think it's encouraged, but writers have been doing interviews recently despite the strike, so maybe there's some wiggle room.
