I have started Mass Effect Legendary Edition. I think I will play through the first one and see how if I want to keep playing from there or take a break between games with something else.

I finished Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Unpacking.

Expedition 33 was a fantastic game from beginning to end for me. The story was gripping. The combat fun and engaging. The music slaps the whole time and crescendo at the right times. If I could play the game completely blind again right now I would. I personally have no complaints with this game that I could find. The game could be supposedly beaten in 30 hours or less. I played 75 hours worth just doing the main story as well as some random exploring and side quests but not 100% completion. I'm pretty close to getting 100 of steam achievements and might actually try to do it for the first time on and off.

After finishing that the behemoth of a game, I needed something light in every sense possible. I picked up Unpacking and it was a very short play and a very low mental load kind of game. It was fun to see how each stage progressed and seeing what things carried over. Overall I would also recommend this to somewhat looking for a relaxing chill game.

Grab your games! What are you playing this month?

Title, platform, etc.

How long do you think it’ll take to beat it? Is it totally new or are you finishing it up?

If you made progress this month:

Congratulations! We’d love to hear about it!

Title, platform, genre, etc.

Did you complete the game?

What did you think of it?

Did you start on one game and switch to another?

I am unsure what, if anything I will be planning to play the rest of this month after I finish Expedition 33.

I don't think I will finish Clair Obscur in time. But will continue to play it until I beat it. The game has been fantastic the whole way through for me so far.

I am playing Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 on PC. I think I will beat it this month.

I have done it. I finished Kingdom Come Deliverance. It was a great game. Starting out as a whelp inexperienced in everything the world had to offer. Getting my ass handed to me in the beginning in fights that seemed like they should be easy. Failing all types of checks to slowly getting better and becoming better at everything. Partly due to leveling up, but also still requiring some amount of skill or strategy to actually succeed especially in fighting.

I found the story to be fantastic and also very bold (the ending). I completed a decent amount of side/minor quest that were fun and added to the immersion of the world and most of the time didn't feel tedious. Also just exploring the world riding a horse was fun as well.

I would definitely recommend this game and definitely plan to play the sequel in the future.

Game I will definitely finish this month is Kingdom Come Deliverance. Just going to mainline it now since I've been doing so much exploring that it has extended my time in the game. So I plan to start Clair Obscur at the developers predict it is a 30ish hour game. So I will double that for me.

Well still didn't finish Kingdom Come Deliverance, but that's okay. I did finish a bunch of book and tv shows instead this month. I will probably just mainline the game to get it done. I still do enjoy playing it, but side quest as well as just exploring are making this a long game for me. Approaching 90 hours as it is and just a little past the half way point. Main reason to finish at this point is so I can play Clair Obscur.

Still working on finishing up Kingdom Come Deliverance. When I finish I am not sure what I will pick up. Maybe Fez.

Still working on Kingdom Come Deliverance 1. It's been great, but I am going through it slowly. Distracted by reading books and watching shows on my free time. All enjoyable. Will continue working on it.

For the month of February I will be playing Kingdom Come: Deliverance. I never knew that this was a story based game until trailers came out for the sequel. I'm already a few hours in and have been playing every free moment I can get.

Originally I was going to try to play original FF VII, but I just didn't get hooked in again, so that's on hiatus or possibly alternate to play during the month. Monster Hunter Wilds is also on my radar, but I will wait for review to see how performance is for PC systems similar to mine. The beta was bugged out and I was not able to play do to missing textures.

I was able to finish the main story of Grand Theft Auto IV. I found the story to be pretty grounded and enjoyable, granted I had to suspend the impact of the game play aspect. The struggles of an immigrant trying to make his way in Liberty City and the choices he had to make along the way had me wanting to play from story beat to story beat.

I did occasionally just go off the rails and do the crazy stuff you can do in a GTA game just to see what was possible and that was fun. I will say that the music in the game when driving around was varied and enjoyable. I did restore the removed tracks when I found out the selection was missing some and that greatly improved the choices of music playing. Even the talk radio stuff was humorous to me.

I will say the weakest part of the game for me in 2025 is the actual game play itself. It just felt so clunky sometimes. Walking, running, unarmed combat, shooting, hiding in cover and driving were not the worst I've ever experienced, but definitely towards the bottom considering other games of the time as well as games that are out now.

All in all I would definitely still recommend a play through of this game for its story and I am glad that I did.
