We may have our opinions about the qualities of Reddit. But the Daily Mail? I feel dirty, just having a link to that dump on my screen.

People: "This is a xylophone."

Musicians: "It's metallic, hint hint."

People: "Yes, it's a metallic xylophone."

Musicians:

Step up military aid to Ukraine significantly. That is the only way to peace. Giving in to russian demands would only lead to a short cease fire, before they launch their next attack.

That so many Germans have bought into russian propaganda is a major hurdle.

Some of us are given free meals to eat in our paid meal breaks.

Nothing fancy though. Most times, the chef only makes a starter or a dessert. Rarely both.

It can be that. But it is also a medium for public forums.

I've actually never found a name of an IKEA product to be fake. They can be obscure, odd, and some would normally be split. But never truly fake. Though, FEJKA does mean "to fake". Which is an honest name for a series of fake plants.

• Whatever cars we produce, should be battery-electric.

• Eastern Germany is in need of employment opportunities.

• It's a plantation, and Tesla is required to plant trees elsewhere.

• Elon Musk is a terrible human being. But at least in Germany, there is a functional government to oversee this factory.

Which is to say, I have no objections to Tesla building a factory here.

Addendum: Yes, public transportation is better, if you have it. Living in your workplace is even better. For some of us, driving a BEV is a pragmatic compromise. Hydrogen is wasteful and stupid. Fossil fuels, including most hydrogen, is fucking stupid. AfD (aka. "We're definitely not Nazis") thrive where unemployed is high. Those trees are now houses, furniture, and toilet paper. By functional, I don't mean efficient, corruption-free, or anything like that in absolute terms. But compared to Texas, CCP-China, or most other places in the world, it is somewhat functional for the purpose of overseeing industry. Well, apart from those giant holes in the ground where there's coal, and all those emissions scandals. And the German environmental movement is, in large parts, a bunch of unwitting russian sock-puppets. Ripened for the enshittification of the internet by decades of soviet/russian propaganda.

Human medieval times? No, don't be silly.

Horse medieval times? Now, that's another thing. Irrespective of whether they work or not, the horses I've spoken to are generally convinced they have entered the renaissance.

The successor to tape seams likely to be internally engraved pieces of glass. Could be commercialised in a few years. But at least for the next decade, there will be a market for tape.

If I were to write a programme where it would be typical to choose between units of measurement, which I'm not, the drop down menu would have a choice of "SI units" and "fuck no, you don't get to choose!"

Top left: An aerospace conglomerate with an all-consuming focus on short-term profits, leading to endemic problems. The featured product being the 787, a functional and popular airliner which had numerous problems related to excessive outsourcing. Some safety concerns about newly delivered planes of this type, due to the company's endemic problems. As an airline, I would prefer to buy Airbus. And as a passenger, I would avoid the 737 Max totally and all Boeings for the first years of service.

Top right: A major electric car company with major leadership problems. The featured product is an automobile which compares disfavourably to other electric pickup trucks in most conventional metrics. As a consumer, I would look at alternatives.

Bottom left: Someone thought they could build a submarine.

Bottom right: The world's leading space launch company. Also the world's leading satellite internet company. The featured product is the Falcon 9, a large rocket capable of sending a large payload into orbit or beyond. The first stage can then land and be reused. Some concerns about the leadership of the company, and the side effects of their failure tolerant testing. As a for-profit company, I would have no other choice in launch providers. As a consumer, I could be in a situation where they are the the only real provider of internet access.

A very diverse "team". Assembled by someone with a different perspective than my own.

This stinks! Oh sorry, I'm on the toilet. The verdict is actually quite welcome.
