I have the version that's 2 gens older than this one. it's great! I'll certainty be tempted to upgrade to the 7 in a year or two

I tried one of these. cool concept, but execution was meh. Would be better with their external device thing that locks the screen in place.

Also, and YMMV, but it was the only VRish thing to make me nauseous (but not overly so) after a while due to the screen moving. I've flown jets in VR comfortably, but XCOM on the NReal was troublesome.

also you need a hub type thing to be able to charge the deck and use the glasses at the same time. not a big deal, but then the deck is pretty bulky

FYI, to figure this out you would look at the part that plugs into the wall. there's a bunch of writing on it. at one point it will say something like " input: 120-240 VAC, output: 15 VDC 0.5 A". that's true for pretty much all transformer bricks. like if you want to see how much a USB brick will supply it will say on there "5V 2A" or whatever.

Just started on SoD today. Pretty wild how free form it is. Fantastic.

It would be nice to just be able to cast the rituals from the spell list rather than 'prepare' them for 2 seconds each time

My fav thing recently has been giving everyone the jump buff and just bouncing around the map. Main char is a barb1-monk3 right now. Potion of speed and the monk dash ability means he can literally just circle the map with jumps. Just found a weapon that does damage when he lands too, although I haven't used it yet I feel like it's going to be almost cheesy levels of ridiculous.

Also a fan of throwing or pushing enemies into the circle of blades. With karlach and my barb-monk there's plenty of enemies flying around. Or void bulb..

I second BG3. And just do mouse with off-hand. Or set up keyboard to act as mouse.

Depends on the game, but there's going to be written sectors no matter what I would think. From Save games to generating terrain in things like Minecraft. It would be interesting if they could do a paired folder thing where all the writing would be done to the OS drive and read from the SD.

That being said, I think the wear will be much less than on the RPi since it's not running the actual OS off of it, not that I have anything to back up that theory...

Baldurs gate 3. Thought it would be more complete since it's coming out soon. Still good though.
I've always had trouble getting into these isometric rpgs for some reason. Divinity, wasteland, old baldurs gate, even dragon age origins. Somehow the disconnect between the control and the character gets to me.
I'm going to try to get deep enough into this one though so that the story can actually shine through

Thanks. What is with some of the links not including the exclamation point? Is it formatted wrong on the markdown?

Does !zeitgeist@lemmy.world work?
