Calc is not 1 on 1 comparison with Excel tbh. Hell even VBA macros cannot run properly as an industry standard in many companies.

I tried other Launchers mentioned like Niagara, MSFT, Octopii, Lawnchair. But, I want horizontal App Drawer and stability like NOVA. Nothing beats NOVA atm. that is shame

the easiest path would be Chinese phones without GMS like Huawei,OPPO,vivo,Xiaomi,Honor

as long as your phone have GMS preinstalled and listed under Google certification. this will affect you. So, Chinese phone without GMS is fine.

The important matter is. Is your device listed by Google and preloaded with GMS. That is the main issue. as long as your device is not listed. you are good. That is why most Chinese phones are winning here https://storage.googleapis.com/play_public/supported_devices.html

if I were you I need to switch to Chinese phone that does not have GMS support like Huawei. (you can get the Whatsapp or banking apps later on via Gbox or Aurora Store)

No, Android is not doomed. No, Android is not as bad as iOS. It takes 5 clicks to opt out of Gservices. If you are unable to do that, theres Degoogled Phones. Your Bank? Theres cheap used Phones. in c/privacy@lemmy.ml

  1. I think for noobs it will be better they buy the Chinese phone such as Huawei that does not certified by Google and emulated it with gbox for GMS support. if this policy is implemented. the easiest thing for noobs will be get a Chinese phone without certification from Google https://storage.googleapis.com/play_public/supported_devices.html like huawei (you can get a GMS support with emulator like Gbox)
