Better install Windows 10 IoT and get support till Jan 2032. As a Bonus the, so I heard, best version of Windows 10 will probably phone home minimally to never, won't rearrange your startmenu, won't install Candy Crush again and maybe not reset settings so aggressively after updates. Can imagine stuff like news, wallpaper of the day or the graphics in the search bar is left out too.

I want to try it on Proxmox where I installed 10 with GPU pass-through recently. Using Linux for 8 years now after being a long time Windows user.

IIRC they offer a way to install 11 without the hardware restrictions too on above site. I don't know how the gaming situation on 10 (IoT) is and and how much Nvidia, AMD and Intel will still support 10 from now on.

My motorola broke recently. Was stuck to an older Android, got security patches very seldomly and no Lineage rom existed anyway.

Had a small Redmi 7A lying around. Installed Lineage and that little thing is running Android 15 now and everything works and feels sufficiently snappy. Antenna podcasts, Drastic DS Emulator (which recently was taken off the store), Nextcloud integration, Aegis Authenticator, Vivaldi, Boost, KDE Connect, DuoLingo, Signal, Mastodon, Organic Maps all run without any hassle. Camera and telephony works perfectly. Will continue using it for a while as I kinda like the form factor and I don't need NFC or other fancy features. A stellar job by LineageOS devs for taking care of such dated hardware. If they accept donations I sure will spare a few eurodollars soon.

Yes PETA helped euthanize pets. But so do many many other shelters around the globe every day as they're overflowing from strays and pets from irresponsible owners and scummy breeders. PETA has a video on their website showing that they did it for cases that could not realistically be rescued. Lifelong neglected pets with very little chances of surviving and multiple diseases. Also a reminder, most of us are responsible for killing animals daily. But it's ok as those are bred for it.

A collegue just told me after I repeatedly asked him to repeat himself as I didn't understand him that he always had the problem of speaking to quietly. After his wife told him he regularily tried to speak louder which lead to him speaking to loud and getting complaints on that. Now he's back at the old volume.

But also the sugar and fat part has pretty serious consequences in parts of the world like Diabetes type 2 and the displacement of traditional cooking and is linked to political issues like lobbying. This long NYT article from 2017 about Nestles manipulation of eating habits in poor comunities in Brazil shows the impact (don't know if it has gotten better, though). Even obese people can be malnutritioned and once you aquired Diabetes Type 2 it can only be remedied, not cured.
