Unfortunately alternative are closed source (ADM , IDM ) , I've heard that free download manager was open source but even if it's still , I won't recommend it because it was reported that it redirected Linux users to malicious links
I've always found download managers to be faster than browsers in downloading

When I was testing Linux distributions on DistroSea it was pretty funny to me to see " Activate Windows " lines on the screen while testing a Linux distro
- It's a Firefox fork with focus on security
- The equivalent of Librewolf on Android
- clearly... people use it for security reasons
- The good thing about it is clearly security , but its focus on privacy comes at the expense of speed ... which is its main disadvantage in my experience
