"Elliot's Room," Daley's playful and collection, showed at Pitti Uomo this year, and it's great. This is my highlight for Fall/Winter 2024.

China having more global influence than USA would help

... would it? I'm not sure I see how.

OP already has a bank. OP has a problem to solve and instead of trying to help OP, you decided to act like a dick and just whine about how easy you think crypto is and how everybody else should think it's just as easy as you think it is.

By the way—you don't have to store your credit card number anywhere. If you lose your card, or it gets stolen, or somebody else manages to guess it, or any other form of loss or fraud happens to your credit card, the company will keep you safe. The concern with crypto wallets is that most of them are actual scams, if you install one from the wrong place you will lose every penny as soon as you add it to the wallet. If you store your key in the wrong place, you'll lose your money, and if you don't store it in enough places, you'll lose it and lose your money, but storing it in three secure places is basically its own fucking job.

And that's not even to mention stuff like death—death is a hard problem for most crypto wallets, because it requires you to trust other human beings with your payment info, and the only wallets that can handle that are social recovery wallets, which aren't even EOAs.

You have to be a fucking idiot to think crypto is anywhere near as convenient or straightforward or safe as traditional banking and credit cards.

This reads like an ad. Is this, somehow, an ad for something?

did you... copy and paste from an seo-optimized blog where every single instance of the words "leather jacket" are affiliate links?

or is this just AI-generated?

well, it's not incoherent to give a volunteer supplies, or even a basic stipend to cover supplies... If the 200,000 she mentioned was rubles, that's not even $2,200, that's not a soldier's pay, that's a small stipend—especially if they don't give you a uniform or even fucking feed you.

Hamas has never focused on military targets. Their founding charter specifically calls for the death of all Jews worldwide and forbids any conception of peace.

You don't understand why a breeding ground where nazis can share conspiracy theories with other nazis and also reach susceptible idiots and children with their naziism might not be a good place where we all want to spend a bunch of time?

People frustrated by this will just pick weaker passwords. Of course, the main solution is to allow password managers to insert passwords directly, but I've noticed a few sites don't seem to work with those, either...

Tankies are generally not just anybody with communist perspectives, but a. certain extreme. A tankie is the type of person who will essentially argue that capitalism and western society are the roots of all evil, and deflect from any criticism of Russia, China, Iran, etc. by attacking the US instead of actually addressing the criticism.

A lot of people already use Discord. If you try to get people to move to Lemmy, the vast majority of them won't bother, and then you just have a version of reddit with about twelve people on it. Reddit thrives on scale and collective knowledge. If you're going to have a small community with three digits' worth of people, a chat service is the place to do it.

I'm part of a couple of private men's style discords... one of them is a great, small-but-not-too-small community, and the conversation is much better than anything that went on on /r/malefashionadvice.

For what it's worth, I'd still be happy to see @malefashionadvice or @malefashionadvice take off, but they're both dead, as is.
