You are welcome ๐Ÿ˜Š I am using it for several months now and it is great. The only think I want to figure out in the future is how to do it so that it rotate some servers.

I was also enjoying my stable homelab until... well lets just say I got cheap parts here, nice stuff there and now I am building myself a new system and I started by stripping a case I got for 20 bucks and totally spray painting it, got some nice black and white cables, wanna display my nas this time instead of hiding it in the cupboard. After that I will put in the parts I got and then I need to migrate everything from the old nas (well hopefully I just put the drives in and it works). Soooo... Yeah ๐Ÿ˜€

By the way one more thing why you want to switch to Gadgetbridge is to stop firmware update, because at one point, the enshittification update will come. Sadly, too late for me, my gps went from locking within seconds to locking within the next 30 minutes :(

Okay I just wrote basically the same post ๐Ÿ˜€

Exactly. It's simple, it integrates with home assistant and I have a few images that I like to choose when to do the update, so its perfect for me :)

If anyone is interested in just a simple image updates monitoring, check out cup.I know its not exactly what you want (it doesn't do the update), but I stumbled on it quite by accident and I like the simplicity.

I mean... glass half full or half empty... You can appreciate how enthusiastic he was about it and how many people saw the video, or you can just complain... Btw. if he should do more, it will be the positive feedback he gets about it, not the negative one which is just demotivating...

Same here. There were times where my eyes went up just hearing mentions of the guy, but nowadays, there are some videos I kinda enjoy watching (rare but yea)

I though (not sure if I remember correctly) LBRY is basically dead after the lawsuits. The network was overtaken and is basically another corpo shait...

I think there are tools that do that, yeah

Should we also boycott companies that basically do what Trump wants by making other nations pay the US tariffs? E.g. in the link you can read about Sony (Japan) and Xbox (Microsoft - US). I know Microsoft is already American, but it is another major manufacturer that is hiking prices globally.

Those are so far few companies, but I read that some clothing brands and even food markets are discussing about this option.

What do you think?

Actually I don't need it for my phone, but I need USB charger with 10W output (5V,2A). And I would like it not to cost too much, because I need more than one, but if its guaranteed made in Europe... Or any asian made that is not China? I know this is BuyEuropean, but if there is no option, my second rule is no China/US. Thank you

I need to buy some NAS drives. Originally I wanted to go for seagate but they being US company, I have no desire anymore. WD is also US. I know I could opt for Toshiba (Japan) or Synology (Taiwan), both probably excellent options, but I am curious, do we have something european? I didn't find anything. Any experience with the Toshiba or Synology regarding reliability? Thanks
