Are you reading any communist texts or joining any communist parties?

Welcome to the team! May I ask what radicalized you?

South Korea has potemkin villages on its side of the border. The government pays people to live there for a few weeks out of the year. Otherwise they’re empty. Source: been there.

Liberals defending Nazis, exhibit one zillion.

Nothing is connected. We are all individual monads floating in a void, our interactions mediated entirely by the market.

I forgot, it’s only mature intelligent high-IQ adults who lick the boot of slavery and genocide.

Are you me? My partner is from South Korea, and her parents grew up under a fascist dictatorship and were literal slaves (one is a small business owner now, the other is basically his live-in domestic servant). They’ve actually been really nice to me but they abused their kids pretty severely. My spouse likes them (from a distance—she has a harder time with them in person), refuses to go to therapy, and is basically a Berner who hates China. Other than that she’s pretty cool though.

America might be flawed but it’s still overall a force for good in the world.

Biden might suck but we should still vote for Democrats on the state or local levels and participate in the [nonexistent] primary to put pressure on Democrats because they are clearly better than Republicans and progressives would never lie to us (cough bernie cough fetterman cough AOC).

Communism is impossible because it goes against human nature.

China is capitalist.

Organizing for revolution in the USA is hopeless.

It’s impossible to scientifically understand human societies, even though humans are part of nature and nature can be scientifically understood.

We can solve all our problems with technology alone. There’s no need to change anything else.

Things will be better in the future even if I don’t actually do anything to make them better. (This one has been an issue for me. “The future” for a Marxist like myself isn’t terribly different from religious visions of paradise.)

I mean, it’s the most powerful empire ever to exist, one built on ongoing slavery and genocide. It’s difficult to find global problems that don’t lead back to the amerikkkan ruling class.

“Anyone who questions America’s might is insane! I am a normal person!”

You definitely know you’re winning when you’re constantly complaining about your opponent. You hate communists yet allow them to live in your brain rent-free. Interesting.

Have to wonder if all these stories about how “the military is fucking up” are just there to justify more funding (even though the military is actually fucking up).

"The Keys to the White House is a checklist of thirteen true/false statements that pertain to the circumstances surrounding a presidential election. When five or fewer of the following statements are false, the incumbent party candidate is predicted to win the election. When six or more are false, the incumbent party is predicted to lose." (The keys correctly predicted that Trump would lose in 2020.)

Midterm gains: After the midterm elections, the incumbent party holds more seats in the U.S. House of Representatives than after the previous midterm elections. (false)

No primary contest: There is no serious contest for the incumbent party nomination. (RFK Jr. currently polling at 15% in the primary so probably true)

Incumbent seeking re-election: The incumbent party candidate is the sitting president. (true)

No third party: There is no significant third party or independent campaign. (true, although if West runs all the way to election day and earns five percent of the vote, this will be false (Democrats will also completely lose their fucking shit if this happens and Biden loses))

Strong short-term economy: The economy is not in recession during the election campaign. (true...for now)

Strong long-term economy: Real per capita economic growth during the term equals or exceeds mean growth during the previous two terms. (false I think?)

Major policy change: The incumbent administration effects major changes in national policy. (false)

No social unrest: There is no sustained social unrest during the term. (true I guess, but this could change rapidly)

No scandal: The incumbent administration is untainted by major scandal. hunter

No foreign/military failure: The incumbent administration suffers no major failure in foreign or military affairs. (Afghanistan + Ukraine so false)

Major foreign/military success: The incumbent administration achieves a major success in foreign or military affairs. (false)

Charismatic incumbent: The incumbent party candidate is charismatic or a national hero. (false for sleepy joe)

Uncharismatic challenger: The challenging party candidate is not charismatic or a national hero. (false, Trump is the most charismatic Republican since Reagan)

I count eight falses. It's not lookin' good for joe. One of those falses is maybe debatable but the others probably aren't going to change from here to election day. We could have Trump winning the presidency from a prison cell and pardoning himself lol.
