Explanation for the jank: I tried to read /c/freeasm without subscribing to it, so it didn't federate. Classic PEBKAC.
there are few non-poast nitter instances barely limping along, but unless it actually comes back I think the best policy is to link normal twitter and let individuals manage what nitter instances, if any, they want to use:
Twitter disabled guest accounts (a username-less temporary access that apps and sites used to show a feed before you logged in) and so the main dev threw in the towel. Nitter still works, but requires real accounts now. So presumably the few nitter mirrors still working are reprogrammed to use real accounts behind the scenes.
Holy shit, that shitshow in the Elon thread.
Proton
Thanks for suggesting alternative frontends, proton doesn’t have what I wanted, but alexandrite does, and does it better than lemmy-ui.
I humbly ask that you do not update the UI from 0.18.4, because pagination of comments is disabled? broken? with this update.
Alternatively, if you did update to 0.19.2 FE, and I still see the old functionality because of my cache+cookies, then the jank is even more powerful than I imagined.
There's a firefox addon: https://github.com/ClearURLs/Addon and it's rules db: https://github.com/ClearURLs/Rules
You can maybe repurpose something from this?
Can you say where and when this happened without doxxing yourself? Was anyone else around while he and his wife were doing this?
Oh, they're not in the official F-Droid repo yet, but they are in the IzzyOnDroid repo, which you can add as a source.
Liftoff and Thunder are both available right now via F-Droid if you add the IzzyOnDroid repo. I'm using Liftoff and I like it.
I am so happy that we know with 100% certainty that Jack Dorsey saw this image and wasn't mad. He was laughing, actually.
