I'm glad that during this cost of living crisis the government is focusing on what's important: weapons, bunkers, and racism.
Methane leaks we know about already make natural gas as bad as coal in terms of greenhouse gas emissions.
Whichever clown creditor decided linking the credit repayment to the growth of a country at war deserves to be defaulted on.
We also need to move back to a time where creditors take about half the responsibility for a loan.
I'm not sure that the technical concept is fundamentally flawed, it's just that "agile" project management philosophy was never meant to apply to rocketry.
I don't say this as a Musk/SpaceX fanboy in any way, I just don't think the failures of the Starship design are comparable to failures of a traditionally managed rocketry project like the Space Shuttle due to the differences in management philosophy.

Also also, Canada Post is NOT tax funded. It's a government institution that is set up like a normal corporation, but with the government as the shareholder.
That's state run services under neoliberalism for you. Best* of all worlds between "state owned" and a private company with the fiduciary responsibility to make profit for the shareholders and fuck over the employees and customers along the way, while also easily able to get additonal taxpayer money to cover the gap between operational costs and revenue.
You also avoid having a bunch of actual government workers, which even in neoliberal hellscapes like Canada have significantly better labour protections than private sector workers.
You can also play off corporate mismanagement and greed driven decisions as "state run services suck" to manufacture consent for even more privatization.

The "maintaining privacy" is just a bit. It's about gaining complete access to everyone's private communications for whatever rhyme or reason the ruling class wants
