@croyle@wandering.shop Even though my wife would never hear me while I'm on the radio, I always prefer to use a headset. I never had a desk mic, exactly because of the space reason you mentioned. I once had a boom mic for a while that I rarely used, and didn't bother to reinstall when we moved here.

@croyle@wandering.shop That's an awesome looking microphone! Is that a microphone you use regularly, or is it more for shack decoration, which I would completely understand?
@croyle@wandering.shop Screw my diet. I need THIS!
Reminds me a bit of Dutch "saucijzenbroodjes". ๐คค
@croyle@wandering.shop That reminds me of a restaurant in SC called Bowens Island. I bet @stu@gott.social knows that restaurant. I seem to remember that in the Oyster Room you would chuck the oyster shells on the floor that were collected and used for the driveway, but maybe that was at a different place, it has been a while. I remember that all the items on the menu used to start with "Big ol' plate of...".
@croyle@wandering.shop Good advice!
@croyle@wandering.shop Looking at your pictures, and that of others on Mastodon, makes me realize something. I haven't lived! ๐
@croyle@wandering.shop ๐คฃ I hear ya! I never tried any of their Pro line stuff. Right now I'm using the Audio Technica BPHS1 headset. It has a nice very long non-coiIed cord. I used to use Sony MDR-7506 headphones with a ModMic boom mic attached to it for ham stuff that I really liked. I have way too many headphones, I'm afraid. For every type of listening I have a favorite set of cans. ๐ It's rare that I don't use headphones. That's probably why my lil' avatar has headphones on. ๐
