The OSs are android in the bottom yes. But not including google services. They are based on AOSP and that is no bad thing. If every car maker would have to develop their own kernel and OS we would have even less features and way more buggy systems. These companies just want to build cars, most of them are already dragging their feet when it comes to digitalisation and qualitative software experiences

There are loads of good electric cars coming out right now, both with android and not, both chinease and European.

The Volkswagen Group uses their in house infotainmentsystem developed by cariad, while most chinease brands uses their in house ones as well. Volvo, Polestar and Renault uses android.

That's a sober take. I am affected running a 1070. But I don't expect 10 years of drivers for an OS that makes out at most a few percent of the total.

If we look at steam survey. The 1070 is at like 0.78% of all Linux installs. While Linux as a whole is at 2.69%.

Am Swede. I have a legal 25. Then my company gives me +5, and the Union has negotiated 9 more (ark) and then, this year, my boss gave me 5 more. So I know that I am far above the average in sweden, but I currently sit on 44 paid vacation days a year
