Half your age + 7 is a reasonable formula for determining creep factor.

What an interesting sample! I hope the team took a bit of time with it.

How very Himmler of him.

Looks like a lot of the same information presented at LPSC, but now peer reviewed. The manuscript is straightforward, and a lot of nice supplemental images as well. Happy to see this out!

Not exactly related, but I just learned about the Livonian Werewolf, and this seems like a good place to share. Old man in Latvia claimed he and other werewolves would go to Hell to fight the devil and kill witches.

They could have made it really interesting if Kylo Ren and Rey had joined forces, either for good or bad, and wound up facing off against Poe and Finn. But no.

It would not. The mass of the Earth doesn't change, and angular momentum is conserved.

Hard to say what exactly a PhD teaches. It is a unique type of qualification that varies radically between situations, even in the same department. I can definitely say there is a difference between people with and without a doctorate, but many of the skills gained are soft skills.

I have been using my Bambu A1 mini for the last several months without major issue, but suddenly I can't get anything to print. Even a benchy detaches before finishing.

I have scrubbed the plate with a fresh sponge, soap and water. I kept my filament in a dehydrator for a couple of days, then immediately tried to print.

There is a local problem, where an illegal landfill caught fire, and it can't be put out. I smell burning rubber all the time. Could that be the cause of the print failure? What else can I do?

I have a Raspberry Pi Zero and I have attached it to the Waveshare 9.7" e-ink display. What I want to do is to make this a typing machine (I am aware of the screen refresh rate). The simplest version of this would be to run LibreOffice.

I can find several examples where this display is used with Python codes where the refresh rate can be set within an individual program (e.g., displaying calendar events or working as a clock). I have tested a couple of these projects, and they work. However, I would like to effectively use the display as a monitor.

How can this be achieved?

Fourth try on a print. Tried to add some adhesive to the bed to get it to stick better. Watched the first two layers and went to bed. Woke up to a printer on strike.
