Look, I’m as sceptical of “fact check” stuff as anyone, but please don’t use Sky as news

What’s hilarious/infuriating about this stuff is that when it’s done poorly, it falls over by itself.

Then it gets called out with cries of “go woke, go broke”, when in reality it’s closer to “make shit, get hit”.

QI said the tail is loaded with muscle and is strong enough that it actually counts as a limb.

So yeah. You’re fucked.

…why would you read either of them?

[-] minkshaman@lemmy.perthchat.org 13 points 1 year ago

Yup. We’re living with the mistakes of the past and no one wants to fix it for the future.

Fucking moronic people who looked at the Queenslander and thought, “that’s PERFECT for a giant paddock of a Territory that regularly drops below freezing!”

And then 80 years of builders followed suit, but each iteration they stripped more of the charm out.

Apparently this is the second time they’ve tried, and they’ve come with no new compelling case.

Maybe they think that Musk-lite will help them this time?

I’ll tell you a secret you might have missed.

It’s not about the privacy.

It’s about a foreign country of similar power levels having the ability to shape your people’s political opinions.

They’re shitting themselves because it’s one of the first times it’s happened to them instead of them doing it to someone else.

When it’s well established that feds have been monitoring TOR exit nodes for like the last 5 years, I think it should be assumed stuff as easy as Reddit is monitored and astroturfed

"It is most likely the weight of this [final report] is going to be felt against the bureaucrats, the public servants.

"It is quite clear they have fallen short of their duty of providing frank and fearless advice and meeting professional standards."

APS hasn’t been allowed to provide frank and fearless advice since Howard gutted it.

That was after Reddit pulled the plug early.

He did a post about it in mastodon
