You're clearly going through something rn, and none of us are mental health professionals, or equipped to deal with your problems in the slightest.

Really cool article. Sri lanka has a similar history with Buddhism serving an anti-imperialist role in fostering a national identity distinct from the (in this case, british) colonizers, who tried to impose christianity on them and openly attacked the monasteries for refusing to submit.

Good to know that Marxism and Buddhism can mix, and that buddhism doesn't have to serve a reactionary role. The heritage of the bhikkhu by Walpola Rahula, one of the most important Buddhist monks of the 20th century, has a good history of the history of Sri Lankan Buddhist nationalism.

The best response to this, is to tell the cowards to post the whole video. Just a tank trying to drive around a guy, stopping, guy gets in the way again, climbs on tank, repeat a few more times, then some ppl come and no one gets hurt.

US cops kill like 100 ppl a month, and run over people and protestors fairly often.

They genocided hundreds of tribes and peoples, on a much larger scale than the holocaust, and then made monuments to brag about it. Still haven't managed to return any stolen land to the survivors.

but Oh no the DPRK are the indoctrinated ones!

Death to amerikkka

For them, ownership of land/resources/companies are completely irrelevant. The "socialism switch" flips back and forth whenever they read a news article affirming a new trade deal and confirms for them that "capitalist roaders" are now in charge.

They all should read the myth of chinese "state capitalism".

It's sad that there's a few of these ultralefts below.

Just got around to reading this, excellent post. It's unfortunate but necessary work to continually debunk the neo-luddites every time new technology gets introduced.

You hit it on the head that these tools are neutral, and their mis-use under capitalism is not an argument to reject them wholesale.

From Yasha Levine's Surveillance Valley (great book btw).

Side point, but one of the main ppl on this project was another state department trot: Ithia sole de Pool.

This isn't the space for this, nor do we have any expertise on it. Seek a mental health professional or other resources.

I've heard good things, but also that it was somewhat depressing / dystopian, as compared to star trek's overall optimism. Not to say that's bad in any way, just that its not for everyone... is that the case?

Taking a firm proletarian stand on how good this book is. It should be required reading for all communists.
