I don't know. I'm running 16gb with 8gb of swap just fine.

Couple dozen tabs open in librewolf (across multiple windows), android studio with an emulator and some other utils. All under KDE Plasma on nixos unstable and it's fine. It could be better, but it's good enough.

Next time you can save yourself a reset by using adb.

  1. connect to watch over adb (usb or wireless)
  2. run adb shell "pm clear com.google.android.gms && reboot"
  3. wait a few minutes (might not be necessary, but I found it increases success rate)
  4. run adb shell "am start -a android.bluetooth.adapter.action.REQUEST_DISCOVERABLE"
  5. pair new device in companion app (I reset the app for good measure, don't know if it's needed)

Also on my device (oppo watch), play integrity doesn't seem to matter. Some of the time I'm only passing basic and watch works perfectly.

I'm petty sure, they place webs wherever people walk.

Cute comic!

Thanks, glad you liked it.

I can't draw, but decided to give it a go anyway.

For the first comic in my life, I think it went pretty well.

Awesome files app - Material Files provides a save as share option. GitHub, F-Droid

Also there's are multiple dedicated save as apps (not in a specific order):

If you mean at a glance, you can use Lawnchair with Smartspacer to get even better experience then stock at a glance on pixel launcher.

It has all functionality of Google's at a glance, while being extendable with plugins.

Eternity is great and there's a work in progress to add multicommunity support.

Also just like Infinity enabling amoled theme makes it look a whole lot more modern.

I wanted to delete my old oppo id account, and to do that I'll need to login into it, but I don't know the password.

Password reset requires saying when the account was created (month and year) and "tech support" can't help here either.

Is it legal to block / hide account deletion behind login in European countries? GDPR (and polish RODO) both talk about a right to data deletion, which in this case, I believe, isn't respected.

There's also this thing: https://fcast.org/

I haven't tried it, but it looks promising.

Oh, and it's also MIT licensed, unlike another FUTO project.

Hey, I like YAML config just as much as the next guy, but I understand the decision to go the GUI way.

With large Home Assistant installs YAML gets really messy, and most changes require a reboot to show up (well, both issues could be fixed by the devs, but they chose otherwise). I really thought that I'd miss YAML, but so far it's working just fine for me. Migration or restoring is a bit more tricky, as I prefer the start from scratch approach instead of the restore a 10 year old backup one.

Home Assistant's (docker install) backup is just a zip file of the config folder. This makes it easier to fix things if needed, but isn't as nice as editing YAML directly. I'd love to have option to use YAML if I want to and GUI otherwise.

As for developers being a bunch of assholes? Well, you're right. Luckily the community is much better and much more helpful.

That's good and not. The good thing is they found it, but the bad thing is that the autopilot still needs some work.

It's not really an autopilot if it crashes after pilot ejects.

Sorry to hijack, but does someone have a link to the talk? Article mentions it, but link no longer works.

Finally KDE news in my lemmy feed. Some nice changes here too.

I'm leaving links here in case anyone needs them

It supports importing data from various 2FA apps and even allows you to generate Steamguard codes.

So, this is my latest project. Pretty complete, very fast and (I hope) easy to use label maker for use with relegendable keycaps.

It supports different layouts:

  • single center icon
  • split-screen like labels
  • up to four icons on one label

Other notable features:

  • easy to make and read configuration files
  • ability to color and rescale icons
  • support for PNGs and SVGs (automatically converted to PNG)
  • speed (under 1s for about 30 labels)

What's left to do?

  • automatic downloading of icons
  • support for text instead of icons
