TFW you try to photograph a full moon and a dragon eats it
Last night I was going to try to photograph the full moon, and the insert in the upper left tells you all what went wrong with that plan. So I had to get up bright & early this morning...

"Gold on my gorget"-- i hear it to the tune of "Gold on the ceiling" but... be that as it may, I failed to capture the "ruby" in the Ruby-throated Hummingbird because the rising sun turned his gorget gold!

they do look a lot alike but the lack of the black bar beneath the white wingbar makes this bird a Hutton's Vireo

it was pretty overcast, so i had to go with a pretty slow shutter speed & shallow depth of field but he was working the flowers enough that i got one (out of many) photos that weren't too motion blurred
autofocus setting was 3D/bird
