I like Anki for when I want to increase my vocab on words I actually need and am otherwise plateauing. I can take photos of the book, get an LLM to define the word in context, and record audio of my friends saying it if it's particularly tricky to pronounce. Then train on these flashcards to improve over time.

Laughed so hard when that dude showed up. Also loved the bag boys chanting "v8" - what a top film.

Do we have a nominative determinism community?

Same. It's an OS not a lifestyle choice. Good OS though - two years now I think, and not complaints.

That would be great. Business location is tough on comaps/organic

SSH managers on Linux? (lemmy.sdf.org)

Curious what folks are using to organise their remote connections? I liked WinSSHTerm and have tried replacing it with Remote Desktop Manager, but it seems a bit broken (fonts look terrible in a terminal, sftp doesn't work, RDP sort of works, but it's not great).

RDP is not a must. Folders, ssh, key auth, sftp and scp are the main things I'm looking for. Currently considering Remmina but though I would check if ppl have strong views on this topic before trying the next app.

I'm using cinnamon with mint 22.

I've been keeping an eye on the github and the board and it doesn't seem to be moving that much. We're nearly halfway through 2025 and I thought the plan was for Wayland to be supported on cinnamon early 2026.

Wondered if anyone had any more insight into progress/blockers/delays
