Oooh! I had this back in the day. It was absolutely fantastic. I would love for this to come back again. I miss physical buttons and being able to do everything on the phone with one hand.

I thought the EU was reducing funding to FOSS projects and investing more into AI. I could've sworn I read that somewhere last year.

Edit: https://www.theregister.com/2024/07/17/foss_funding_vanishes_from_eus/

I think it was this event that I read.

What you do not do is drag people into the streets banging pots. It's not the 1960s

Are you sure? I'm pretty confident that's what happened on the weekend.

Also, relying on technology owned and controlled by the billionaire class is a bit rich...

Anyway, I don't want to antagonise you. Just don't discount the traditional methods of communication thinking it's ineffective. In a world where privacy is almost non-existent and you're constantly being monitored, going analogue is one of the best tactics there is.

The point of making the 'left', or any opponent, look unhinged is to pressure them into submission. The reason why this works very well is because your media is complicit in amplifying any wrongdoings by any opponents and twisting the perception.

i mean, check out protests in Europe and how they're framed by their media. Even your Vietnam war protests back in the day; your media started banging on about them being drug users and layabouts to make dismissing their cause much easier.

I just think Americans have lost a lot of people power if you have to protest while walking on eggshells. Best thing to combat it is to have a conversation with everyone. Get people chatting face to face rather than having the TV spout nonsense at them.

Going to migrate to Bazzite. Just need a free weekend to do it.

No, you're definitely allowed. Otherwise you'd have had your comments removed from the public discourse.

The up and downs just gauge public approval to the comment. Remember, you're also free to up and down vote to voice your disagreement.

Also remember, if you think everyone around you are assholes then likely you're the asshole.

Edit: I just saw your other comment on the lack of variety of posts. Be the change you want to see. Find something interesting and make a post!

Hang on. I just scrolled down the comments list for a couple of minutes and didn't see anyone calling anyone else a Nazi or a fascist. What are you going on about?

And YouTube is a company. They don't believe in anything except increasing shareholder value. It's got nothing about far left or whatever. Gender identity isn't even a far left idea, unless your Overton window is skewed.

Also, you've just sort of outed yourself unnecessarily as an ignorant bigot in a left leaning community with your statement:

Just because someone doesn't want to play the gender tip toe dance, doesn't mean they're nazis

Of course they're not Nazis. No one's calling them a Nazi. They're calling that someone a bigot.

Actually, it seems that people here are more concerned about companies not sticking to the far left ideology

Actually, it's people who are concerned about companies kowtowing to a fascist regime, the Trump government.

personally hand voters $1 million checks after giving a speech in which he wore a cheesehead hat.

But those who received the cheques were Republican contacts right?

Until March 31st, 2026, the GameChat system will be available for free for all Switch 2 owners

Is this so they can lock it behind the subscription after this? Along with all the other new features, not worth it for me. Getting the steam deck once I can't get anymore physical games on the switch 1.

Churches enjoy tax exemptions. Wheelchair users do not. I firmly believe that religion should be completely separate from government.

I think it's ok if someone who is religious is in government, provided they do their job. Stopping for prayer isn't doing their job.

Well, not everyone is a Tesla shareholder that he can abuse constantly.

Far out, I despise this idiot so, so much.
