And it stills looks like shit. Idk, as much as I dislike Windows Vista asthetics, Apple managed to make them look good by comparison.

At least I can get a transcript and speed it up a bit

Pretty useful for not getting locked out. It can be finetuned if you want to assign priorities and that.

It is usually handled by systemd-oomd.

What have you done to those poor arrows? 😭😭

  • LTS Linux distros are not good for desktop usage and terrible for beginners. (And for servers too but a bit less ig).
  • The current distribution model of Linux apps is garbage. The concept of package maintainers, in most cases, is just redundant, duplicated work.
  • Bash is horrible and relying on it for anything else than personal scripts gets messy really fast.
  • Having a standard "platform" in Linux is key.
  • SystemD is actually good, not perfect but very powerful.
  • Apps not using Portals are a crime.

Obviously written by NixOS sectarian.

Surprised to see Java that high tho. I have been using it for uni stuff and it's not bad.

Feels overly complex on some areas (gradle??) and I am not a fan of OOP but still relatively good.

I literally almost failed a uni course bc how shitty python packaging is. And well, maybe I am lazy, but the horrors of daring to get fucking deps were too much.

Just use Julia ffs. 😭😭

Genuine question from a non native English speaker here: what's wrong?

Depends on the season. Winter is 1 but long sleeve (w/o socks or underwear, that's terrorism) and my weighted blanket.

Summer is more 2 or 17.

Now I am sad because it just got to hoot to use the weighted blanket. :(

And do not forget about impermanence everywhere.

I would argue that's the cool part. You also have the average hyper racist neo-reactionary Suckless fossid user who thinks daring to write in anything other than C is "gay" or smth.

And also it let's you do crazy things that would be impossible in other imperative distros tho.

I am thinking about root-on-tmpfs, conditional configuration and doing all sorts of crazy things with packages while remaining manageable.

It is simply another whole tier.

Basically the title.

Brief background information

After having tried all sorts of Elvanse (lisdexamfetamine) dosages (30, 50 and 70 mg) and noticing nothing at all, I've got prescribed with Medikinet 20 mg (Methylphenidate).

The thing

I don't think I can properly articulate the experience in English, but I'm going to try anyway.

I noticed that, shortly after taking them, I start to feel as if I was on the verge of having a panic attack (maybe that's a bit dramatic, IDK if I experienced one of those ever anyway). I become incredibly stressed, but for not apparent reason. Not only that, but I could not rationalize the source of my stress/discomfort.

It is an excruciating feeling. Thankfully, it does not last more than a couple of hours. Also, while going through it, I feel tired, exhausted even.

It is weird, very weird.

Trying to relax is futile, the same goes for breathing exercises, distractions etc…

Does anything here make any sense to you?

P.D: Thanks for reading this incomprehensible wall of text, I am currently in this shity state.

[Update]: Thanks everyone for answering and caring. I wasn't expecting this reaction at all.

While I got over the panick attack quickly I really appreciated all the comfort and info you provided. <3

At the end of the day I only got a slightly worse headache and rebound effect but that was to be expected. It's been barely three weeks since I've got started with medication and next Monday I have a follow-up meeting with my doctor.

I noted everything up with the rest of my experiences just in case it's useful since I think it might be working better… xD

Anyway, thank you all again. (:

[END of Update]

I'm on Elvanse (lisdexanfetamin) 30mg I just took two pills instead of one by mistake.

I'm quite sure I wasn't noticing anything with 30mg but now I fear an overdose or some shit.

Tho here if 30mg is not enough they jump you to 50mg which is not far from 60mg…

The thing is that I'm scared and don't know what I should do.

So hi all you cool fediverse thingies,

(Edit: I just realized I posted this on ADHD memes. Can't stop being a clown)

After an odyssey I've been finally diagnosed at 18 of age with "a textbook example of ADHD" (-my psychiatrist) and high QI. Lmao I wish.

They gave me 30gm of lisdexanfetamin (Elvanse) and I just took a pill a few hours ago after getting up.

The thing is that I'm not feeling a single thing different in any way and I don't even what should I be expecting. I might be scared of having expend more money and time because of the dosage not being right…

How were your first moments/days/weeks with medication? (I you don't mind sharing).

I don't want to fail uni. :c
