Presumably they lower the pressure to boil the water instead of raising the temperature, I imagine to save power

I don't know why I keep being surprised when I go to a phoronix article and all the comments on the site are racist, I really should be used to it by now

The only things I've encountered that don't work are webusb things and snapchat but snapchat you can just change user agent and it's fine.

I mean to be fair I feel like various body modifications have always existed and probably will always exist. At most this will probably just look dated once everyone moves onto wanting spiky foreheads or something instead of bigger boobs

Interesting, I don't think I've ever seen a laptop where it was soldered.

Also keep in mind that laptop wifi cards are usually easily replaceable, so if you end up with that being the only problem it's usually cheap and easy to solve

I wonder if there's anyone out there who actually uses the imagemagick gui. I use imagemagick almost daily but I have never once actually done anything with the gui

I spent a couple hours setting up niri a month or two ago, and it works really well, but I just couldn't quite convince myself that the way it works is a way computers should work, so I only used it for like half a day. I feel like I should like it, but it's just so strange

And the textures are all just wrong

Wow, even if they weren't doing that, the developer response there is enough to make me avoid your product. People pointing out your lies is not "harassment".

The ones that are made by humans

From today's cathode ray dude video

Shot on the era appropriate Olympus C-2500L

It has 4 lenses in total, two at each end. The only text on it is the number 50, stamped into the bottom of the ring that goes around the outside to attach it to whatever it goes with

If you just search for "hand me out to drive", literally all the results are websites that copied this insane transcription.

(For anyone not familiar, the actual phrase and what the song says is "hang me out to dry")
