I actually know a couple of teachers at private schools and they say the people being hit hardest aren’t the rich twats but the families who scrimp and save just enough to try and give their kids the best opportunities.

Exactly. Nobody votes for Trump because they’re evil. They have worries and concerns that need to be addressed.
So many people sit here in the safety of Lemmy dunking on Republicans but everyone gets a vote at the end of the day so it’s all for nothing unless you actually change people’s minds.
I don’t think Israelis are getting a very neutral view of the war from their media.

There was obviously something going on. I read somewhere that there was an organised social media campaign to get them to the top but that was just a comment on here I think, but also the most plausible reason.
The latest YouGov poll I could find put UK support for Israel at 10% yet somehow they were number one in the public votes. If you mention this in some Israeli discussion board they call you a conspiracist. I guess they’ve got a media machine over there making them think the whole world is behind them.
