I think a big factor today is that living standards in the west are rapidly collapsing. This leads to loss of faith in the system, and by extension into regime propaganda. When people start realizing that their government is lying to them about everything, then it's not a huge leap to start asking why China is being demonized so much.

It's just gaslighting to try and convince people that the economy is still doing well despite their personal experience to the contrary.

There always has to be an external malicious actor at play because otherwise it would mean that liberalism is failing and people are increasingly rejecting it. We see this happening in US as well where democrats still believe in the whole Russiagate conspiracy theory despite it having been thoroughly debunked at this point.

People who are still in the liberal mainstream are invariably those who haven't been hit by any significant economic hardship, and they see their conditions as being largely representative of those of a typical person. They dismiss the notion that people are rejecting liberalism because the standard of living is declining because their own standard of living has remained largely unchanged. So, the only logical explanation must be that nefarious Russians or Chinese or whoever are behind all this brewing civil unrest western countries are seeing.

In my view, there's nothing wrong with idea of people having the option to end their life with dignity. For example, if you have terminal cancer and you're suffering then you may not wish to prolong the suffering. The issue in the context of Canada is that this is a coercive measure due to lack of social support systems. This was a famous case of a person who did not wish to die, but thought it would be preferable to becoming homeless. And I think this whole case is great example of just how deeply immoral capitalism is.

Pretty much, and it's such a ghoulish mentality where they're willing to sacrifice hundreds of thousands of people's lives to score some geopolitical win against Russia. These people are absolutely monstrous and they never gave a shit about the actual people living in Ukraine.
