I want to buy open source drm free e-books however I see Kobo that is a Canadian subsidiary owned by a Japanese Company while Apple is American with some operations based in Canada, California is closer to British Columbia however they often use closed standards.

I have a friend in Canada whose birthday is just around the corner. They mentioned how their kitchen knives suck. I'd like to order them a whetstone, sharpener and/or a new set of knives. Are there any shops or brands that you recommend?

I'm not in Canada, so ideally I'd buy the item online and have it delivered to my friend.

Canadian company I recently ordered a motorized desk from based in Richmond, BC. I got it from a recommendation on a post from !bapcsalescanada@lemmy.ca because I needed a new one. I'll be setting up the desk today, and add a comment on my thoughts within a few days.

They have a Back-to-School sale running right now, use promo code MGBTS.

Price ranges from affordable to fairly expensive, but the product is worth it.

After always having Ikea or online order (Endy, Silk n Snow etc) mattresses, I finally upgraded. I just got delivery of my Model 9 and am very happy. Their customer service has been great.

The showroom has a giant glass wall that allows you to see their workshop and watch them build your mattress.
