Am I Morking Wrong? (ttrpg.network)

Ran Rotblack Sludge for a small group of a couple of friends. Everyone had a great time but not a single one of the player characters died horribly or anything like that. Now they're on an extended version of it where they have to return the Shadow King's little bastard all the way back to the Castle in Sarkash, amid an endless twilight where half of the people of the land cannot wake and half cannot sleep. The lack of brutal player death scenes makes me feel like a doomed failure, and not in the right doom kinda way. How can I be more BRUTAL without it seeming like I'm intentionally out to kill player characters just so I can use one of any number of awesome death scenes I thought up?

If anyone is interested in playing Alien RPG, Mörk/Pirate/CY_Borg here's my Discord Server. We play over Discord Audio (some games use Roll20 as well, others are theater of the mind).

I have been running a campaign for my players for a few months now, They were wondering around sarkash to find a mcguffin and stop the fae from making a god. I decided to add bloat in as a mini dungeon for their adventure. They started the run trying to adopt the ratbadger which then proceeded to brutally attack them. They then smashed the poor thing to do but not before rolling so poorly that they assaulted each other and one used their wyvern tail and accidentally paralyzed themselves. They start exploring before going into the automaton storage and just letting the little bastards drag then off to be butchered. One used a magic pan flute made from a Satyr bone they got in an early quest to make vines to help restrain and kill the automatons. They then noticed the slimey passage and discovered the Acidic sewerage system. Most people at this point would either try to power through the acidic poop or walk some other path but my players had a more interesting idea. They ripped meat out of the larder and used the pan flute to make a meat boat bound together by vines and fungus. They then sailed their meat boat before crashing it into the statue area and then proceed to burn the fecal matter causing a massive explosion with a lovely nat 20. Within the next few hours my players also did such absurd acts such as sending a Bible obsessed pale one equipped with a sentient skull attached to a spine into the stomach of the fattened king to kill him from the inside and the outside, met a group of parting fae and their new god. One player fused with said god while the others started worshiping it and gave up the other McGuffins causing a derailment and immediate end to my campaign.
