Jamming version of Buffalo Gals, from banjoist Matokie Slaughter. It uses a mode of the melodic minor scale, pretty unusual for old time.

This tune is from black fiddler Will Adams. One of those that repeats so long its kind of a surprise when you finally change parts. First rate banjo and fiddle on this version.

Love these two on twin fiddles. Mary Jane Epps was on a great album called "Light and Hitch" that's out of print. Both her and Michele Lanan are biologists as well as fiddlers. Tune is from Edden Hammons.
