I received this in some newsletter, and I didn't know what it was. Took me a while. Need more coffee, I guess. Or maybe I was drifting without comms whenever the previous event happened, and I just couldn't know.

But apparently, Mothership Month has returned:

https://www.backerkit.com/c/collections/mothership-month-2025

Basically, it's a bunch of crowdfunding campaigns, all centered on Mothership. Some discounts apply to early backers.

And it seems like some rewards are unlocked depending on the number of campaigns that become funded.

For my Mongoose 2E campaign, I made my own custom GM screen, with only the stuff I found myself needing on a regular basis. It's 3 landscape pages, designed to be put in a customizable GM screen.

You can download a PDF copy, and the original Affinity files I created it with, here: https://polyhedralnonsense.com/2025/10/09/a-custom-gm-screen-for-traveller/

Hey there I did a similar event last year for delta green one-shots on the week leading up to Halloween and had a great time.

This year I would like to do some cassette futurism / sci-fi horror. Aliens, Dead Space, etc. are good cultural touchstones.

I use roll 20 as a virtual table top, and discord for voice. I have been running tabletop roleplaying games online for hexbear users for a couple years now with a lot of success.

I use the X-Card and Lines & Veils safety tools.

I will provide all needed information and materials to play the game. I like to have a group of 3-4 players. I'm looking to have a fifteen minute rules introduction, and then about a 3 hour play session with fifteen minutes of aftertalk.

Please DM me or comment if you are interested. I'm flexible on times but prefer to play CET evenings / EST afternoons.

I will repost this in October, Thank you for reading!!!

I guess this is great news if you use Roll20's VTT:

https://con.roll20.net/#hs_cos_wrapper_widget_1755613004582

The adventures are:

  • Alien RPG: Chariot of the Gods
  • Tales of the RED: Hope Reborn - The Angel's Share Addon

Oh, there's also a D&D Eberron module there.

Another Sci-Fi contribution at 2-minute-tabletop; this time a fanmade handout by "Toaster":

https://2minutetabletop.com/sci-fi-handout-sheets-toaster/

I think it's more suitable for use in a VTT than printed out, but hey... what do I know? I don't even have a working color printer. ;)

I reread Mothership’s Player Survival guide and it struck me as odd that it says that “in space you can last 15 seconds without oxygen before falling unconscious”.

And it seems very low. Maybe the key is that it’s only if you are in space? In the cold, vacuum space? Of course I couldn’t help myself and tried holding my breath for 30 seconds and it was very easy with an atmosphere. And I’m no astronaut, athlete, nor scuba diver.

I’m thinking about houseruling that if you’re able to at least take a ~~deep breath~~ few short breaths to oxygenate and then let go beforehand, you should add a number of seconds equal to your Body save. And any previous training would add an advantage.

Does that seem reasonable?

The original post says:

Today is the 20th anniversary of the launch of TravellerMap.

Since I'm lazy, go read the 10th anniversary post for some history.

Welcome to the Run Down Motel, a place that has seen better days. This motel is home to shady characters, long-forgotten secrets, and perhaps the occasional crime or two. Staying here for a night is cheap, but you might end up paying in other ways...

This map features two separate buildings- the motel itself and a smaller lobby. The motel features 7 economy-sized rooms and a much larger master suite. The lobby building includes the reception desk, a storage room, and an office.

This map pack includes Modern, Cyberpunk, and Abandoned variants.

Two Hostile RPG Bundles! (bundleofholding.com)
submitted 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) by Scallops@ttrpg.network to c/scifi@ttrpg.network

Zozer Games' excellent survival horror sci-fi RPG is available on BoH. Everything you need to run and play and more for under $10 or a full set of books for a little over $20.

And they have created a new bundle with extra goodies! Head over for the Hostile Hot Zones bundle to check it out! Going for $13 or $26 depending on choice.

Together with the Starforged bundle ($15, 3 days left), it's a good month to spend on sci-fi RPGs!

Guarded behind a tall steel wall covered in barbed wire is a small military base home to a small reconnaissance force. This place is characterized by the loud chatter of soldiers, large dust particles in the air, and the overwhelming smell of diesel. Can your players infiltrate this base?

This base includes a control room, officer's quarters, infirmary, chow hall and kitchen, barracks, armory, and a storage room. A couple port-a-potties lie to the south, which are always in use. Two guard towers scan the land for threats.

This map pack includes Modern, Cyberpunk, and a Post-Apocalyptic variant. Each variant also comes with a rooftop.

Download the base map for free here.

Largest "Small Craft"

Currently working on designs for some larger "small craft". variant Shuttles, a Marine Dropship, and a larger Marine Assault Carrier. The dropship is 40 dton, and the shuttle variants are 100, 200, and 500 dtons, the assault carrier is probably 400 dtons. What is the range of small craft in your Traveller universe?

Official rules for sneaking, rather than fighting, through a net architecture are now available for Cyberpunk RED. They are straightforward: a contested Interface check between the netrunner and daemons/dwellers in the arch:

To establish stealth in a NET Architecture, you have to spend an additional NET Action when you Jack In. When you do, you roll a contested Interface Check (Interface + 1d10 vs Interface + 1d10) against all Watchers (Demons, enemy Netrunners … and other entities with an Interface Rank) currently in the Architecture. If you beat them all, you successfully establish stealth and enter the system undetected.

Once the netrunner is in, they need to make a similar check against any Black Ice they encounter:

When a Netrunner encounters a Black ICE while in stealth, they roll Interface + any bonus to Cloak Checks + 1d10 vs the Black ICE’s Perception + 1d10 instead of performing a Speed Check.

Once the netrunner fails the perception check, they are no longer sneaking and normal rules apply.

I'm glad there are more options for netrunners now. I hope RTal adds more options in future.

Zozer recently released a version of their Kosmos 68 setting for Classic Traveller. It's based entirely on old Soviet sci-fi. The new version used the same page design and style as the original LBBs.

I've made a modified version of my Classic Traveller sheets to match this setting. They're fillable and free to download
