Iām pretty disgusted by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
I presume there is something that happened recently I have missed, or is this just a random expression of general orchestral hatred?
They canceled the performance of a guy who dedicated it to murdered journalists in Gaza.
Does that include the "journalist" who was a member of the Nukhba force who participated in Oct 7 rapes, tortures and burning of children alive?
"The IDF confirms carrying out a strike in Gaza City yesterday that killed Al Jazeera reporter Ismail Alghoul, saying he was a member of Hamasās elite Nukhba force who participated in the October 7 onslaught".
I mean, you ask Tel Aviv they are either gonna give you evidence they were "deffo" a terrorist. Or they're gonna just admit they dont care and blow up another school or whatever.
The October 7th card really ran out of steam after all the war crimes Israel committed. Acts of terror don't justify acts of terror.
People shouldn't be murdered by a neighbouring state for their religion or skin colour or years old disputes about land; they should be murdered for being rapists!

How about the other journalist who was also killed in the strike? Were they accused by the IOF of being a terrorist and therefore deserving of summary extra-judicial assassination? Is that how it goes?
How about the child?
If anything this strike is notable because the number of bystanders killed was uncharacteristically low.

It's not a regulars club, but when a new poster pops by with a vague pro-palestine message I assume you're not interested in this community and simply looking to spread your message.

What I find sus is you, you donāt post anywhere else on Lemmy or the Fediverse, you only use the Melbourne daily. Seems like youāre not interested in being part of the community and only want to focus on one 0.0001% of it. Are you even a real account or someoneās alt?

I'm acting indignant over genocide. That's the key difference here, one is genuine.
I didn't think this community was this quick to gatekeep. I've seen them comment here before, but gatekeeping someone's opinion based on how much they post here is absurd.
And what would that message be? Genocide bad? I'm not a new poster here and if I comment a pro-palestine message would you assume the same? It's disheartening to see this thread have so many downvotes and this argument, almost so much as the MSO's statement the other day.
Why don't you contact MSO about it rather than posting here of all places?
