Iā€™m pretty disgusted by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

[-] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 4 points 3 months ago

I presume there is something that happened recently I have missed, or is this just a random expression of general orchestral hatred?

[-] Deceptichum@quokk.au 7 points 3 months ago

They canceled the performance of a guy who dedicated it to murdered journalists in Gaza.

[-] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago

Does that include the "journalist" who was a member of the Nukhba force who participated in Oct 7 rapes, tortures and burning of children alive?

"The IDF confirms carrying out a strike in Gaza City yesterday that killed Al Jazeera reporter Ismail Alghoul, saying he was a member of Hamasā€™s elite Nukhba force who participated in the October 7 onslaught".

[-] TinyBreak@aussie.zone 7 points 3 months ago

I mean, you ask Tel Aviv they are either gonna give you evidence they were "deffo" a terrorist. Or they're gonna just admit they dont care and blow up another school or whatever.

The October 7th card really ran out of steam after all the war crimes Israel committed. Acts of terror don't justify acts of terror.

[-] StudChud@aussie.zone 3 points 3 months ago

People shouldn't be murdered by a neighbouring state for their religion or skin colour or years old disputes about land; they should be murdered for being rapists!

unless they are Hamas and the victims are Jewish, then it's ok

me too except for Jews

You sound like a Zionist.

@Seagoon_
How about the other journalist who was also killed in the strike? Were they accused by the IOF of being a terrorist and therefore deserving of summary extra-judicial assassination? Is that how it goes?

How about the child?

If anything this strike is notable because the number of bystanders killed was uncharacteristically low.

It includes all journalists killed by Israeli genocide.

[-] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago

So when a terrorist proven to have committed torture, rapes and killed , even killed children is killed for their crime it's called genocide?

Are you for real?

[-] Deceptichum@quokk.au 4 points 3 months ago

Are you pretending Israel isnā€™t committing genocide against the Palestinians?

[-] stib@aus.social 2 points 3 months ago

@Seagoon_
Typo where you wrote "proven"ā€”I think you spelled "accused" wrong.

"Among other questions, the IDF spokesperson did not answer why Israeli forces had released al-Ghoul in March if he was supposedly a military operative of Hamas."

Contact MSO with your concerns. You're not even a regular poster here.

[-] Deceptichum@quokk.au 4 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Oh shit sorry mate, I didnā€™t know this was the ā€œregularsā€ club! I only post infrequently here.

Muppet.

[-] dumblederp@aussie.zone 3 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Did you actually contact MSO there champ?

It's not a regulars club, but when a new poster pops by with a vague pro-palestine message I assume you're not interested in this community and simply looking to spread your message.

[-] Deceptichum@quokk.au -1 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Mate I post in these threads every few weeks.

What I find sus is you, you donā€™t post anywhere else on Lemmy or the Fediverse, you only use the Melbourne daily. Seems like youā€™re not interested in being part of the community and only want to focus on one 0.0001% of it. Are you even a real account or someoneā€™s alt?

[-] dumblederp@aussie.zone 1 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

So that's still a 'no' on actually contacting the MSO with your grievance?

[-] Deceptichum@quokk.au 2 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Pretty funny how indignant you are acting over this.

First you tried to shut me up because I wasnā€™t ā€œregularā€ enough for you, now I canā€™t talk because you believe I cannot express my disappointment with the MSOs recent actions in our city with anyone else except the MSO directly. And for what? Because youā€™re anti-anti-genocide?

So no Iā€™m not going to answer your question, simply because you donā€™t deserve an answer. I can only hope the pretend outrage this causes you pretends to eat you up inside.

[-] dumblederp@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Pretty funny how indignant you are acting over this.

ironic.

[-] Deceptichum@quokk.au 1 points 3 months ago

I'm acting indignant over genocide. That's the key difference here, one is genuine.

[-] neurospice@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 3 months ago

Youā€™re not even a regular poster here.

I didn't think this community was this quick to gatekeep. I've seen them comment here before, but gatekeeping someone's opinion based on how much they post here is absurd.

but when a new poster pops by with a vague pro-palestine message I assume youā€™re not interested in this community and simply looking to spread your message.

And what would that message be? Genocide bad? I'm not a new poster here and if I comment a pro-palestine message would you assume the same? It's disheartening to see this thread have so many downvotes and this argument, almost so much as the MSO's statement the other day.

[-] dumblederp@aussie.zone 0 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Why don't you contact MSO about it rather than posting here of all places?

[-] Deceptichum@quokk.au 1 points 3 months ago

Por que no los dos?
